Stephenville Historical House Museum and Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council have teamed up for the annual By-Gone Days on the Bosque celebration, slated for Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20, on the museum grounds.

The fun begins when the gates open at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Entry fee is a suggested donation of $1 and each entrant will receive a ticket for a door prize.

Visitors can try their hands at old-time crafts, skills, and games. The Carmack and Cowan cabins will be open for tours. The Chapel on the Bosque will also be open. Local craftsman and vendors will have homemade items available for sale. Of course, the ever-popular By-Gone Day Gun Fighters will make it out for the events on Saturday.

The museum is easy to reach by foot on the beautiful Bosque River Trail or parking is available at the Oxford House, just east of the museum.

Sunday’s events will feature an exclusive VIP opportunity with artist Michael Martin Murphey.

Enjoy an intimate musical interlude inside the Chapel on the Bosque, starting at 3 p.m. Limited VIP tickets are available for $100 each. The VIP tickets will give you access to events on both Saturday and Sunday.

Proceeds from By-Gone Days on the Bosque will benefit SHHM as well as CTFAC as both local non-profit organizations continue to bring quality experiences to the area.
