A Stephenville woman is facing charges of domestic violence stemming from an incident at Burger King on Wednesday.
The Stephenville Police Department received a call about 4:45 p.m. that a domestic disturbance was taking place at the fast food restaurant.
“When officers arrived on scene they learned through their investigation that Katlyn Elizabeth Terrell and Scott James Sprieck were involved in a physical altercation,” states a press release from the SPD. “During the altercation Spriek received a laceration to his back and was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released.”
The investigation led authorities to believe that Terrell, 28, used an “edged weapon” that caused the laceration on Spriek’s back, the release states.
Terrell has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
She was transported to the Erath County Jail where it was determined that she needed medical attention. Upon her release from the local hospital she will be transported back to jail, according to Sheriff Matt Coates.
