After serving as the executive director of the Erath County Farm Service Agency for the past 24 years, Rusty Rose is retiring.
“Serving Erath County for the past 24 of my 30-year career has been a tremendous blessing,” Rose said. “We had the privilege of raising our three kids in Stephenville and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be.”
Rose said he plans to spend time with his wife, children and grandkids and keep busy with church and his small cattle operation.
“Rusty has been a valuable friend and advisor to all of the producers, farmers and ranchers over the years,” said Bonnie Pack, who serves as an elected member of the agency. “In addition to Erath County, Rusty also served as the CED for Parker, Palo Pinto, Somervell and Hood counties.”
The public is invited to a reception honoring Rose from 3-5 p.m. Friday in the fellowship hall at Graham Street Church of Christ.
Refreshments will be served.
