Thanksgiving is Thursday and lots of places will be closed for business so employees can enjoy time with family and friends.
So if you need to run a few last minute errands to get ready for the big holiday, you will want to take note of what’s open and what’s not.
BANKS AND POSTAL SERVICE
Banks will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but bank employees will be back to work bright and early Friday morning so you can get the cash you need for all that holiday shopping.
Likewise, the post office will be closed Thursday and will reopen on Friday.
No one wants to go to the grocery store on Thanksgiving Day but if you’re missing something important for your holiday feast, there’s options.
HEB will be open from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and will go back to normal business hours on Friday.
Walmart will be open all day on Thanksgiving Day.
“We only close on Christmas Day,” a Walmart employee told the E-T.
CITY AND GOVERNMENT OFFICES
City and county offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday and will resume normal business hours the following Monday.
