Get ready to bring your dog and have some Halloween fun at the annual Bow Wow Trick or Treat Festival, a fundraiser for the Hood County Animal Lovers Organization (HALO), this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Hewlett Park, 621 E. Pearl St., in Granbury.

The event, open to the public, will include a canine Halloween costume contest starting at 1:30 p.m. ($5 entry fee), canine trick or treating ($5 per dog) and a professional photographer ($15).

HALO is a nonprofit 501(c)3 rescue organization dedicated to improving lives of homeless pets through foster and adoption programs as well as the spay-neuter effort for low income residents of Hood County.

A variety of vendors will be there representing pet and family-friendly products and services.
