Early voting in the midterm elections begins Monday and will last through Friday, Nov. 2.

Erath County Clerk Gwinda Jones said she and her staff are busy getting prepared and expecting a large voter turnout.

“Voter registration numbers are up and the number of absentee ballots sent out exceeds the number sent out for the 2014 Gubernatorial Election,” Jones said. “We had 7,468 voters cast a ballot in 2014 and I expect to beat that number.”

Voters looking to cast an early ballot can do so at the Erath County Courthouse from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26; noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29-30.

Voters can cast an early ballot at the Dublin Annex from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 29-30 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6, at the Erath County Courthouse, Newman Hall, TexasBank, United Cooperative Services, Dublin County Annex, Lingleville School, Morgan Mill Community Center, Selden Community Center, Bluff Dale Community Center and Huckabay School.

Jones is reminding voters that the CenturyLink office is no longer a voting location.
