Bruner Motors and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville will host a car safety event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Bruner Motors.

Through this community-wide event, Bruner and Texas Health aim to promote safety by administering car seat checks to ensure proper installation, as well as donating car seats to families in need.

“Appropriately installing and using child restraints, or car seats, proves to be the best way to prevent injury for children in motor vehicle related accidents,” said Texas Health Stephenville representative, Malinda Mullins. “All parents should take this opportunity to ensure their car seats are properly installed.”

In addition to car seat safety checks by Texas Health Stephenville staff and members of the police and fire departments, the event will include fun family favorites such as hot dogs, face painting, bounce houses and the Buky the K-9 dog.

Children in attendance will have the opportunity to tour a tanker and ambulance with the Stephenville Fire Department. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
