Local wine enthusiasts are going to be thrilled with this story.
Lucky Vines Vineyard and Winery, owned by Jeff and Kimberly Hutchins, is now open.
The vineyard, located on County Road 351 just outside of Dublin, includes a 1,200-square foot tasting room with rollup doors that open to a patio that overlooks the vineyard.
The view is spectacular.
“This has been a labor of love,” Jeff said. “We want this to be a place where people come to relax and enjoy some great wine.”
The couple is unveiling seven wines this weekend: A Syrah, Viognier, Dry Rose, Rose, and three sweet wines.
“Our estate-produced Syrah is our only full-bodied red we will be releasing now,” Jeff said. “We plan to release two more before Christmas.”
Patrons can purchase wine by the glass or bottle and will soon be able to purchase cheese boards featuring Veldhuizen cheeses, grass-fed sausage and salami from Powderly and Hope Springs crackers made in Wylie.
“We are only carrying items made in Texas,” Kimberly said. “We will be doing gifts baskets for purchase during Christmas that will include Montepulciano grape jelly made by Dublin’s own Deb Hall.
“All of our wines are 100 percent from Texas grown fruit from our vineyard or sourced from the Texas high plains.”
The vineyard and wine tasting room will be open from 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
Comanche’s Jerrod Hicks will perform at the vineyard Saturday night.
