Today is the first day of fall and with it comes the hope of cooler days, scarves and all things pumpkin.

And if you’re like me, the remnant of summer’s warm days won’t stop me from grabbing a cheerful, fall-inspired coffee to get me through the afternoon.

Beans & Franks is just excited about the new season as we are. And to celebrate, the locally-owned business is unveiling a brand new slate of warm deliciousness found in a cup.

“We have several new hot drinks we are excited about,” said Jodi Weyers, who owns the restaurant with her husband Jeff.

There is a spicy or caramel apple cider and several flavors of mouth-watering lattes like pumpkin chai, pumpkin spice, brown sugar and cinnamon, maple syrup and toasted marshmallow.

“My favorite is the fireside mocha,” Jodi said. “It’s made with white chocolate mocha, cinnamon and peppermint. It tastes like fall.”

Of course, there is more to enjoy at Beans & Franks than just coffee.

They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serve a variety of salads, sandwiches, cookies and other treats.

A few of their newest additions include a garlic herb chicken wrap, chicken caesar sandwich and chicken bacon swiss sandwich.

“Those are really popular,” Jodi said. “We are also planning on introducing a new pumpkin muffin very soon.”

Beans & Franks is located on Washington Street across from Tarleton State University. They have been serving Stephenville residents since 2011.

They also won Best Coffee Shop in this year’s Best of Erath County Awards.

Beans & Franks is open from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Their friendly staff would love to whip you up one of those fireside mochas.
