The Show - the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo’s official fashion show - is expected to be another sold-out event.
Now in its fifth year, The Show features local women modeling the latest fashions from area boutiques.
Kim Andrae, one of the event organizers, said this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
“We have moved the event to Twisted J Live and we are very excited about that,” Andrae said.
The Show will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 25, and will feature the latest fashions from Silver Wings, Blue Flamingo, Punchy’s, Velvet Twelve, Back at the Ranch, Twisted J, Chick Elms Grand Entry, Saddle Rags, The Lace Cactus, Branded Pearl, Texas Buffalo and Rusty Rattler.
Last year’s event raised more than $80,000. The money is donated to several local charities, but the majority of this year’s proceeds will go to the Stephenville Police Department’s K-9 officer, Buky.
“The money will be used to purchase protective equipment for Buky,” Andrea said. “He will even make a special guest appearance that night.”
The Show’s committee members include Andrae, Carie Decker, Jodi Clements, Jodee Lucero, Carly Alford, Chandra Andrew, Jody Volf, Lynssi Pollock and Brooke Brooks.
Individual tickets can be purchased for $60 at Capital Hatters beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4, or online at twistedjbar.com.
Ticket prices include dinner catered by Hard 8 BBQ, cocktails, the fashion show and after party.
Only 250 additional tickets will be sold. Corporate tables are already sold out.
A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7. The glitz and glamour of the fashion show will start shortly before 8 p.m.
