The Stephenville Police Department’s ongoing fight against drugs has led to the arrest of three individuals accused of distributing methamphetamine.

Brittany Lynn Schouten, 35, Robert Dale Smith, 49, and Kara Michelle Traweek, 23, were all taken into custody as part of separate investigations.

“These arrests are the result of several ongoing narcotics operations,” said Lt. Don Miller. “They are part of a drug investigation cluster we just completed.”

All three suspects are being held at the Erath County Jail and have prior criminal histories.

Schouten was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and assault in 2006 and for possession of a controlled substance in 2007. She is currently being held on a $30,000 bond.

Smith was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2011 and 2013, and is also being held on a $30,000 bond.

Traweek has a long history of drug charges including three in 2017 and five in 2018.

‘On the lam’

As police continue working on several investigations, they are asking the public for help with finding two men they believe have been dealing narcotics in Stephenville.

Miller said they have warrants for Bryson Rogers, 23, and Deionta Derell Valentine, 21.

“Both suspects lived in Stephenville recently, but have left the area,” Miller said. “These guys are on the lam and we would ask anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact Erath County Crime Stoppers at 965-CASH.”
