If an evening in Las Vegas is your idea of fun, make plans to attend “Casino Night at the CASA Speakeasy” on Thursday at City Hall at City Limits.
“This year we are focusing on mobsters, prohibition, the 1920s, bosses and revenuers,” said CASA executive director Judy Walker. “Dressing the theme is great, but so is a person’s normal casual.”
Doors open at 6 p.m. for social hour followed by gaming at 6:30.
The event will feature a variety of casino games like roulette, craps, blackjack and slot machines, a buffet featuring hamburgers and barbecue and a live auction.
“We only have one live auction item this year, a private dining event for four prepared by celebrity chef Mike Newton,” Walker said.
There will also be a raffle for a three-night stay in Galveston. Tickets for the raffle are $50 each, two for $75 or four for $100.
Individual tickets to the event are $50 or $45 if you purchase five or more.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, the CASA office or online at cascara.org.
