Five people have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a man found in the back of a burned out car in Morgan Mill 11 days ago.

Elizabeth Delude, 25, Claire Harrington, 40, Clayton Miller, 34, Christopher Cornell, 34 and Paul Rogers, 41, were taken into custody in the Fort Worth and Waco areas late Friday night. They have been charged with murder and are being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center.

The victim’s identity will be released later by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

According to a press release from the Grand Prairie Police Department, the investigation began on April 10 at a residence in Grand Prairie where an arson occurred.

“During the course of the initial investigation, it was determined that a homicide occurred inside the residence and the fire was intentionally set in an attempt to destroy the crime scene,” the release states.

Two days later a burned out Chevy Tahoe with a charred body inside believed to be the victim was found in Morgan Mill on County Road 161.

“The body was badly burned, it was unrecognizable,” Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates said.
