Kelli Bedwell Raymond, a longtime resident of Stephenville, has entered the race for county treasurer.
If no one else files before Monday’s deadline, Raymond will face off against Kim Barrier for the position.
Raymond, 38, graduated from Stephenville high school in 1997 and Tarleton State University in 2003 with a BBA in human resource management. She and her husband Josh have two sons.
“I have been considering running for a couple of months. I have researched the position and after meeting with Donna Kelly it reaffirmed my interest in the position of treasurer for our community,” Raymond said. “I was raised in Erath County, educated in Erath county and I am dedicated to Erath County.”
Raymond is currently the treasurer for the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council's board of directors.
“I am a 2017 graduate of Leadership Stephenville and I served on the Central PTO for one year and Parents for Faith School for two years,” she said. “I am also a member of the Chamberlin PTO. In 2017 I was chosen among the Stephenville Empire-Tribune's 40 under 40.”
Raymond works at TexasBank and says she will bring 18 years of banking experience to the office along with human resource management.
“If elected, I would bring energy, an open door and listening ear to Erath County,” she said. “These have always served me well.”
