The Stephenville Economic Development Authority Board of Directors concluded an executive session Friday by addressing some upcoming personnel changes.
SEDA’s Executive Director Dr. John Hubbard informed the Board that he had received and accepted an offer to join the faculty of the University of North Texas at Dallas.
The Board was unanimous in expressing their congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Hubbard. Board President Matt Harpole stated that “it has been a pleasure working with a man who has helped anchor SEDA within a short time. His experience has been invaluable and will be missed and we’re looking forward to keeping the working relationship open with him.”
“I have enjoyed my time serving SEDA and the citizens of Stephenville,” Dr. Hubbard told the Board. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude for SEDA’s leadership during my tenure in Stephenville. I am confident that Stephenville’s economic efforts will continue to be successful.”
Dr. Hubbard’s resignation will be effective February 2, 2018. In the meantime, the Board voted to negotiate a consulting engagement with Dr. Hubbard for part-time services effective February 3, 2018, to ensure continuity of current projects and prospect relations until a new Executive Director has been hired.
The Board also voted to promote Ashleigh Feuerbacher to the full-time position of Director of Marketing and Administration, effective immediately.
Mrs. Feuerbacher has been working part-time for SEDA since April 2017, performing administrative and marketing responsibilities and receiving training specific to economic development programs and opportunities. The Board expressed its appreciation for her services and its agreement that the increasing activity of the SEDA office will be well-served by the full-time position.
