Jesus Roberto Longoria, better known as Bobby to his family and friends, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. He was sixty-one years old. Bobby was an Air Force veteran, serving from 1976-1978. After ending his term of service, Bobby began a career in oil and petroleum drilling. Possessing a singular work ethic, he would go on to see many achievements in what would be a long and distinguished career. Starting as an oil and gas representative at Exxon, he would eventually earn a petroleum engineering certification and go to work as a petroleum engineer for TransAmerican National Gas Corporation. The experience he gained over a decade would allow him to launch a successful endeavor as an Independent Drilling Consultant, where he would be given charge over offshore drilling projects in Venezuela and, later, off the coast of Louisiana, as well as in Texas.

Family and friends of Bobby knew him as a kind-hearted soul, always generous to those in need, jovial, quick to be friendly, and with a unique sense of humor. An avid reader, he enjoyed everything from the works of Dostoyevsky to Tom Clancy. He also enjoyed golfing and hunting in his spare time. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His quick wit, loving nature, shared wisdom, and tall tales will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irma G. Longoria, and his nephew, Clinton E. Jordan.
