For the past 19 years Doug Montgomery and Texstar Ford have brought country music to Erath County with a summer concert series.
And this year’s family-friendly event will kick off at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, at Stephenville City Park with a performance by the Bellamy Brothers.
Yes, you read that right.
The musical duo and real-life brothers who brought us “Let your Love Flow” will be on stage at the Birdsong Amphitheater on Thursday - and Montgomery can hardly wait.
“Larry Joe (Taylor) and I sat down to start planning this year’s event and he threw the name of the Bellamy Brothers out there,” Montgomery said. “So I did some investigating and found out they were making a run through Texas and would be in the area.”
The concert is free and residents are invited to bring blankets, chairs, snacks and drinks to enjoy during the show.
The Bellamy Brothers are just the first in a long line of summer concerts featuring a variety of artists.
Mark your calendars for this year’s lineup.
