The city of Stephenville is making some significant improvements to its parks.

“We have new signs at the entrance to Jaycee Park and the restrooms at both parks have been updated,” said Deputy City Administrator Jeremy Allen. “The restroom upgrades and the work we’re doing on the softball infields are going to make a huge difference in the parks.”

Parks Superintendent Jesus Coronado added, “We cleaned up and repainted and redid the roofs on the restrooms. The lights on the basketball court are working 100 percent now, we’ve put up new nets out there too.

“We’re working on those infields, right now and the base should be in by (Thursday) afternoon, then we’ll put the clay down and finish that work in the next week."
