The Dublin Lions' season came to a close Friday night after a 72-60 defeat to No. 7 Peaster in what was an excellent display of basketball in Granbury.

The Greyhounds came in maybe expecting a bit less of Dublin and were forced to wake up very quickly.

Peaster managed to score the game's first six points, but after that Dublin outscored the Greyhounds 11-5 over the next several minutes to tie the game at 11 with 2:57 to go in the first quarter. By the end of the first quarter, it was Dublin atop on the scoreboard after several late three pointers put the Lions ahead 20-19.

With Peaster now aware of what they were facing they tightened things up immensely in the second quarter.

After the first five minutes, they'd outscored Dublin 16-10 to take a 35-30 lead with a majority of the baskets coming in transition.

By halftime, the Greyhounds led Dublin by eight, 41-33.

In the second half, Peaster managed to attain a double digit lead with nearly six minutes remaining in the third quarter. Dublin spent the remainder of the contest trying to cut that deficit, but were unable get any momentum going before the final buzzer.

Brady Moore led Dublin offensively in the game with 30 points. Also scoring in double-digits was Rayce Jackson who added another 12 points, while Gabe Garcia scored 11 points.
