This week’s Pet of the Week is a big four-year-old sweetheart of a domestic, short-hair Tabby cat named Mr. Bojangles.
“He was surrendered to the Erath County Humane Society by his owners due to a serious illness in the family,” says ECHS Executive Director Diane McCoy. “They had to let go of all their animals, but they got them all up to date before they surrendered them, which we really appreciate.
“So Mr. Bojangles is ready to go out the door today,” McCoy says. “He’s neutered, his vaccinations are up to date and he’s is just a real lover.
“He doesn’t like being in that cage, of course; he’ll need to be adopted by someone looking for an inside-the-house cat — it won’t work to put him outside. But he’ll make a great house pet; like I say, he’s a real cuddly guy.”
You can meet Mr. Bojangles — or any of the other dogs or cats, puppies or kittens currently living at the ECHS by stopping in at 891 East Road or calling 254-965-3247 for more information.
