The weekend is here and with a nice weather outlook for Friday and Saturday, it’s a good time to jump on those Valentine’s Day plans! Make it a good one, and TGIF!
1. Deadline to order Love Bites
If you haven’t put in your order for some delicious homemade Valentine’s Day sugar cookies, then do it today for the Business and Professional Women's "love bites" fundraiser. Prices are $10 for a half dozen, $15 for a dozen and $2 extra for delivery (only for Stephenville residents) and all proceeds go toward the Bea Marin Memorial Scholarship. 2. Girl Scout cookies sales
What says love more than a box of thin mints or samoas? Pick up a box, or 10, of Girl Scout cookies just in time for Valentine’s Day as they set up outside of Walmart from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
3. LJT’s annual Valentine’s Day Dinner
If you’re looking for a nice evening of good food and good music, get your tickets for Larry Joe Taylor’s 13th annual Valentine’s Day Dinner event kicking off at 6 p.m. Saturday at Melody Mountain Ranch. Tickets are $35, which covers dinner and entertainment and Brady Pendleton’s shuttle will be running for $10 round trip. Larry Joe Taylor, Richard Leigh and Mike McClure will give acoustic performances.
4. Kids Paint the Town
Have a creative kiddo? Then sign them up for the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council’s Kids Paint the Town event from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the CTFAC’s River North Gallery. Kids seven and up will create their own masterpiece to take home. Art supplies and snacks will be provided for $25 per kid. For more information call 254-965-6190.
5. Annual Valentine Musical
Grab your sweetheart and head over to the Stephenville Historical House Museum at 2:30 p.m. Sunday for the Stephenville Music Club’s free annual Valentine Musical. The event is presented in honor of Joyce Hillin and will feature a variety of talented members of the Music Club.
