No. 11 Tarleton hosts Texas A&M-Kingsville in a battle two nationally-ranked defenses on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The Texans are ranked ninth in the nation in scoring defense (65 ppg) and A&M-Kingsville ranks 10th at 65.2 ppg allowed.

Texas A&M-Kingsville comes in with a 14-7 record overall and 7-5 in the LSC. The Javelinas have won a season-high six straight games. TAMUK is 3-4 on the road, however. TAMUK is averaging 69.5ppg and giving up 65.2ppg to opponents. Duan Wright leads the team in scoring at 12.1ppg while Trey Sumpter (11.6) and Caelan Neal (10.2) also average double figures. Sumpter leads the team in rebounds (5.1) and Derrick Byrd is the team-leader in assists at 3.3 per game.
THE SERIES: A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tarleton leads the all-time series with A&M-Kingsville 38-23 since they began in 1969. The Texans are 34-13 in the Lonn Reisman era (1988). The Texans are 22-3 at home against the Javelinas and have won seven straight in Wisdom Gym.
