Larry Joe Taylor’s 13th annual Valentine’s Day dinner theater brings “good music and good food” to Texas music lovers at 6 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 11.

Martha Taylor, the event organizer said, “Who doesn’t love good food and good music? Luckily we have the combination of the two. It is a very intimate setting. We have the lights down low and good music. It’s just a good way to enjoy your loved one’s company and the company of other Texas music fans.”

The event will be held at T-Birds Garage Pub Concert Hall at Melody Mountain Ranch. Dinner will be served along with acoustic performances from Larry Joe Taylor, Richard Leigh and Mike McClure.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for guests to visit and find their reserved tables. Promptly at 7 p.m., dinner will be served and at 8:30 p.m. the show begins.

The Thetford family will be catering the event, like they do every year, with a full dinner including beef tenderloin, horseradish carrots, roasted asparagus, salad and bread. Refreshments such as tea and water will be served, as well as alcohol for purchase.

Martha Taylor said this year she’s baking chocolate cakes, garnished with guitars.

“It’s always been a very popular event with our fans,” said Taylor.

Taylor said about 100 people have reserved tickets so far but there is still room for more.

Tickets cost $35 per person to cover his or hers entry and dinner.

“It’s going to be a good time. It’s not a rowdy crowd. It’s a fun show for all types of people,” she said.

Taylor mentioned that the recent updates to the concert hall will make the evening even more intimate. She said the hall was given a fresh look with mostly cosmetic updates. They also moved the stage back giving the hall a spacious look that makes it look more like a theater.

Taylor suggests catching a ride with Brady Pendleton. He is running a safe ride service that evening that costs $10 per person, round trip. Scheduling rides needs to be done at least one to two days in advance, according to their website.
