The TexAnns took their frustrations following an overtime loss to Eastern New Mexico out on Lone Star Conference foe Western New Mexico Saturday as they disposed of the Mustangs 84-70.

Saturday's game was truly a showcase from the TexAnns three headed attack of Mackenzie Hailey, Ikpeaku Iwobi and Bailey Wipff.

After three quarters, the three players had combined for 45 points as Tarleton led Western New Mexico 63-40 at the end of the period.

The Mustangs did muster some kind of a comeback in the game's final quarter, but it was largely due to the TexAnns' starters being on the bench. Western New Mexico cut their deficit to nine points, 75-66, with 1:38 remaining in the game.

Tarleton regained focused over the final minute and a half to put their opponents away and clinch their ninth LSC win of the season.

Mackenzie Hailey led Tarleton's attack as she finished tied with a team high 16 points, but brought in a game high 16 rebounds. Iwobi also finished the game with 16 points, while Wipff added two more to her tally to finish with 15 points.

The TexAnns are now 10-10 on the season and 9-5 in LSC play. They'll be back in action next Thursday when they host Texas A&M-Kingsville.
