While many high school students continue their Christmas vacations, a number of local athletes will be in their respective gyms this morning preparing for contests later this week. 


The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Friday when they host Millsap in an afternoon dual. 

Stephenville enters the game with a 4-10 record, but are coming off of their first district game which they won 53-39 over Glen Rose. 

Millsap will enter the game with a 4-9 record, according to Maxpreps, and are 2-3 over their last five games. 

While the Yellow Jackets host a game Friday, the Honeybees will be in Saginaw to take to part in the Whataburger Tournament. 

Stephenville is slated to play Sanger tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Depending on the result of that game, they will also play at either 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. 


Dublin will waste no time in getting back onto the hardwood as both the Lions and Lady Lions are back in action in the Breckenridge Lions Club tournament today. 

The Lions are scheduled to tip-off this morning at 7:30 a.m. against Jacksboro and then finish the day at 10:30 against Chico. Wednesday, the boys will be back at it 7:30 a.m. against Albany and then again at 1:30 p.m. against hosts Breckenridge. 

The Lady Lions will begin play today against Llano at 3 p.m. and will close out the day against Breckenridge at 6 p.m. 

Pool play will conclude on Wednesday after game against the Abilene Hawks at 3 p.m.
