The E-T was greeted by the gentle demeanor of Sierra, a senior lab-mix up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society and this week’s featured pet.

“She has been here almost two months and came in as a stray,” said ECHS executive director Diane McCoy. “She’s kennel trained, quiet and very good with all other dogs.”

McCoy said Sierra is a great dog for someone who needs a walking companion or someone to snuggle up with indoors.

“She’s very obedient and would be a good dog for someone that had some land and wanted to walk around with her and then come inside and have her lay by their feet next to the fire,” McCoy said.

Sierra is believed to be around five years old.

“You’re probably not going to be running around throwing the ball with her, but she’s just an all-around great friend for someone,” McCoy said.
