With the weather predicted to be clear, sunny and in the 60s this weekend, it should be a great time to head out the front door for some fun.

Here are five ideas you might try on for size this weekend, a couple of which will help some people and one special dog with medical expenses.

1. Jingle Bell Classic Roping

Happening at Lone Star Arena this weekend. Roping begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

2. Bike 4 Mike

Benefit motorcycle ride to support Mike Wilcoxon's battle against pancreatic cancer Saturday. The event assembles at Allsup’s at 150 E. South Loop at 9 a.m. with kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. There will be a silent auction, BBQ dinner and live music starting at 2 p.m. Ride route is 125 miles. Admission is $25 with $15 for passengers. 3. Hank's Scrubbin’ Bubbles

Pet wash benefit hosted by Pet Supplies Plus and PAWS to help raise funds for for medical bills incurred when Hank, “The fighting dog,” came to PAWS after being hit by a car.

For $10 you can wash and dry your pet at the dog wash station at Pet Supplies Plus, 106 Christy Plaza. All proceeds will go for Hank’s medical bills. For more information, contact PAWS at 254-485-1314 or Pet Supplies Plus at 254-965-7387.

4. Community Thanksgiving Service

Hosted by the Stephenville Ministerial Alliance at 6 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church. The day’s offering will support various community ministries in Stephenville.
