It was a rough second game of the season for the Yellow Jackets Tuesday as they were dismantled by Gatesville 67-50.

Stephenville hunt with the Hornets early as the two teams were tied with one another 7-7 early on in the first quarter.

However, after hitting the 7-point mark, the Yellow Jacket offense went cold.

Gatesville took advantage of the poor shooting from Stephenville and eventually scored 20 unanswered points before ending the half with a 40-14 lead.

The final 16 minutes of game time was a much better product from Stephenville than their first half performance.

While the Hornets kept Stephenville at bay, the Yellow Jackets outscored Gatesville 36-27 in the second half.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets drop to 0-2 on the season. Their next game is scheduled for Monday when they host Graham.
