Texas Health Stephenville earned an “A” grade for patient safety, according to the latest Hospital Safety Scores from The Leapfrog Group. Leapfrog used publicly available quality and safety measures, as well as leadership commitment to creating a safe environment for patients, to determine the letter grades. 

“We are pleased to receive this recognition from the Leapfrog Group,” said Christopher Leu, president, Texas Health Stephenville. “It is an affirmation of the work and focus from our caregivers and the physicians on our medical staff to keep our patients safe when under our care.”

Texas Health Stephenville was one of 10 Texas Health Resources hospitals that made an “A” on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Scores listing.

Nationally, only 30 percentof the 2,530hospitals scored were ranked “A.” Texas Health Plano is one of fewer than 5 percent of hospitals ranked nationwide that have received an “A” grade on each of the ten reports issued by The Leapfrog Group since spring 2012.
