Garnering the player of the week award for the second time this season is Stephenville utility man Mason Holstein.
Holstein was once again a staple in the Yellow Jacket secondary Friday night in the win over Snyder.
He had several key passes defended, nine total tackles and one interception on the stat sheet.
Perhaps his most unique play however came on a two-point conversion when he was forced into a quarterback role which resulted in a completion for two-points to starting quarterback Easton Jones.
"Mason’s been a great team player. We ask him to do a lot, return punts, play offense and defense," said Stephenville head coach Greg Winder. "There hasn’t been one instance where we’ve had an issue in his work ethic or anything else. He’s a great athlete and when you have one of those you have to take advantage. He’s been awesome for us."
