After dropping their first district game more than a week ago to No. 2 Glen Rose, the Honeybees continued to rebound from that setback with their second straight sweep, this time over Midlothian Heritage.

While Stephenville trounced Venus last Friday, their match up with the Jaguars was a much tighter affair.

The match was concluded in three sets, but they weren't easy victories for Stephenville. The Honeybees managed to squeak out the sweep with 25-21, 25-22 and 25-21 wins.

Senior Nicona Stilwell led Stephenville statistically in kills with eight in the match. Also having a solid game at the net was Jayci Morton who added another seven kills.

Taylor Garber and Hannah Huckabee combined for 32 assists, including 21 and 11 respectively.

Leading the team in digs was libero Hailey Martin who recorded 28, while Kylee Ponder and Maren Isham both had 11.

Stephenville will be back in action on Friday when they host Godley.
