If you’re a lover of chocolate then celebrate with Wiseman House Chocolates of Hico when they host a ‘Choctoberfest’ event starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, for its 20th anniversary.
The event will feature sneak peek workshop tours of Wiseman’s, a chocolate tasting tour through downtown Hico, a drinking chocolate bar along with anniversary samples, specials and discounts.
Tour will run every 15 minutes from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 106 South Pecan St. showing participants how the company’s chocolates are made, packaged and distributed.
“Tours will be interactive and will be curated for parent and child duos,” a press release from Wiseman’s states. “Workshop tickets are free, but participants must register for a time slot.”
The drinking chocolate bar will be hosted by locals Lance Battenfield and Liberty Dairy Farms, and Avoca Coffee Roasters of Fort Worth at the Wiseman House retail shop.
“Attendees can sip delicious varieties of hot chocolate and coffee while they browse Wiseman House’s curated chocolate and gift collections,” the release states. “Choctoberfest will benefit Hico youth with an aptitude and interest in the arts, by providing arts and pastry scholarships.”
