The weekend is here and it is packed full of exciting area events, including the 47th annual PRCA Rodeo. Make it a good one, and TGIF!

1. Rhymes & Vines Music Festival

With a fantastic lineup of musicians, you won’t want to miss Larry Joe Taylor’s Rhymes & Vines Music Festival taking place through Saturday night at Melody Mountain Ranch. 2. 47th annual PRCA Rodeo

Are you ready for some rodeo action? The 47th annual Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo is here all weekend starting at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Star Arena. Tonight’s performance is ‘American Hero’ Night honoring those who serve our country and tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6-12 and kids five and under are free.

3. Oakdale Church clothing giveaway

Oakdale United Methodist Church will be hosting a clothing giveaway from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at the church. There will be clothing available for all ages while supplies last. For more information contact the church at 254-968-8870.

4. 6th annual Museum Motorcycle Ride

Jump on your Harley and get over to the Stephenville Historical House Museum for its annual motorcycle ride starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with proceeds going toward the Oxford House Preservation Project. 5. Rodeo Royalty Meet-n-Greet

Don’t miss your chance to get to know the current Miss Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo Queen and contestants from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum. The event is open to the public and free to attend. For more information visit www.cowboycapitalprcarodeo.com.
