If you’re looking to take your motorcycle out for a spin and help raise funds for a great cause, head over to Stephenville City Park at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Schreiber Foods Fun Run benefiting Erath County United Way, Partners Helping Partners and the Nelson family.

“I’m looking forward to having as many people as we can so we can get United Way funded and Partners Helping Partners,” Adam Dudley with Schreiber Foods said. “And also the Nelson family, there’s been a lot of work for Clint Nelson and his son Luke, so that’s what Schreiber’s half is going to. It will all be going to Luke.”

For the price of $20, $25 with a passenger, riders will get a barbecue lunch, goody bag and door prizes. Live entertainment will be provided by Back Road Drifters.

“This is actually going to be our first annual one,” Dudley said. “We tried last year and it got rained out and then we were suppose to do it back in June, but then the whole county flooded.”

Dudley said this time the event will go on rain or shine.

“Rain or shine it’s happening this time. The forecast said 80 percent chance for Saturday, but it has slowly gone down throughout the week so I’m hoping and praying that it doesn’t rain,” Dudley said. “But if it does then we’ll sit around, listen to some good music and enjoy some barbecue.”
