The lineup is set and tickets to the area's biggest end-of-summer bash are on sale now.

Larry Joe Taylor’s 11th annual Rhymes and Vines will take place Sept. 21-24 at Melody Mountain Ranch, and will feature three nights of great music, beer tasting and cooking demonstrations.

Gates will open for three-day ticket holders at noon Wednesday with a special performance that evening by Tommy Alverson.

New this year is the incorporation of the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards.

Winners in 25 categories will be announced between performances during the three-day event.

Larry Joe Taylor’s Texas Music Festival is once again up for Festival of the Year, something he has won the past five years.

Taylor said he is excited the awards show will be a part of this year’s Rhymes and Vines event and would love to win the award for a sixth time at Melody Mountain Ranch.

“We are excited the public will get to see how the awards show works, and for the songwriters and musicians who have been nominated,” he said.

Rhymes and Vines is a favorite for music lovers who enjoy a smaller, more intimate setting than the Texas Music Festival, which draws in more than 50,000 fans from across the Lone Star State.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 968-8505 or online at

Three-day advance tickets are $52 or $59 at the gate; two-day tickets are $37 or $42 at the gate; and one-day tickets are $19 or $23 at the gate.
