The votes are in and 10 Stephenville High School seniors have been selected as the 2016 Homecoming Court nominees.
The nominees are Rett Dittfurth, Cassidy Balder, Caleb Gibbons, Madi Crew, Kaleb Moore, Maurie Dodson, Coby Vandenberg, Kylee Ponder, Ragan Wood and Nicona Stilwell.
“It’s really neat that out of 230 something in our class I was one nominated,” Gibbons said. “It really means a lot to be on the top 10 in the school.”
Most of the girls nominated said it came as a shock.
“I never thought it would happen to me,” said Madi Crew.
Cassidy Balder and Maurie Dodson agreed.
“I’m honored to have this experience and I really wasn’t expecting it to be me,” Dodson said.
“I think it’s really cool and I’m glad I get to have this opportunity,” Balder added.
Kaleb Moore said it is great being nominated and when asked if he thought he would win, had a big grin on his face saying, “Yes.”
Stephenville High School’s Homecoming will be on Friday, Sept. 23, kicking off with a ‘white out’ pep rally in the morning, and ending with the Yellow Jacket football game against Graham at Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium where the king and queen will be crowned.
