Due to the rainy forecast set for Saturday, the Dublin Fall Fiesta has been postponed until Saturday, Oct. 29, in conjunction with Dublin’s Safe Trick or Treat event.
“We got almost four inches of rain last year in about 45 minutes and there’s just no place to go with it,” said Luanne Schexnider, executive director of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. “We were fortunate last year that we got some things finished before the rain hit, but it just ruined everything. Plus we’ve had some cancellations from people who said it wasn’t going to work for them.”
The city-wide yard sale will still take place as scheduled this Saturday and Sunday and the winner of who sold the most items will be announced when the Fall Fiesta takes place.
As of now the location of the event is tentatively planned to be in the school administration building (old high school) at Post Oak and Camden.
