After losing a several key players from a regional tournament team, the Honeybees have had to reload and making the transition an easier one has been outside hitter Jayci Morton.

Morton has been one of team's bright spots on the offensive side of the net.

She's complimented the talents of seniors Emily Brandon and Nicona Stilwell and has managed to take some of the defensive focus off of her teammates.

Last week Morton played a large role in the Honeybees' first district match which was a three-set sweep against Waxahachie Life.

"Jayci has been putting the ball down on the outside really well when we need it. She's doing well for us," said Honeybee head coach Fran Metzger about Morton.

Morton led the team with 11 kills and also recorded three digs in the team's win against Waxahachie Life.
