As everyone knows today marks 15 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on our country and in appreciation of first responders, military veterans, family and friends, Tarleton State University is hosting a United We Stand 9/11 remembrance lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at Heritage Park off McIlhaney Street.

Free hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, chips and cookies will be served at the event honoring those who have put their lives on the line for our country.

“I have also invited our student-leaders on campus to come engage with everyone and thank them for their service,” Erin Warner, TSU leadership programs coordinator, said. “It will be a buffet-style, super informal where they can just come and go. Also someone from the Rotary Club is going to come out and put some flags out in the park.”

A handicap entrance to the event is located on Military Drive by the Trogdon House (the president’s house).
