It’s that time of year again and Dublin is gearing up for one of its biggest events, the 4th annual Fall Fiesta from 12-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at Wright Historical Park.
“I’m thrilled that we have this annual event, and that the Fall Fiesta has drawn so much positive attention and enthusiasm from this community,” Luanne Schexnider, executive director of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, said. “It’s such a pleasure to work with the Hispanic business owners and help them learn more about becoming Chamber of Commerce members and sharing their ideas in a collaborative effort to make Dublin the best it can be.”
The event will feature a city-wide yard sale, co-ed soccer tournament, music, cook-off competition, dancing horses, Fiesta Queen pageant and much more.
There have been new events added to this year’s festival, including the city-wide yard sale, a Zumba demonstration by Titan Fitness, Auntie Em’s Dancers, Mini-Truckin’ Explicit Concept Car Show and the Fiesta Baby Contest.
“We are returning to the venue where we had the first event, Wright Historical Park and Pavilion,” Schexnider said. “This location gives visitors and participants an opportunity to enjoy our local shopping, restaurants and five wonderful museums.”
After the festivities in the park come to an end, make your way to the Old Dublin Auditorium at 7 p.m. for the Fiesta Queen Ambassador Program Presentation.
“Last year’s Fiesta Queen, Dominique Lisso, will be helping with the Fall Fiesta activities and crowning the 2016 Fiesta Queen Ambassador,” Schexnider said. “She has been a lovely representative for Dublin, as our first winner and we appreciate her parents and family for their support.”
Event forms can be found on the Dublin Chamber of Commerce website, www.dublintxchamber.com; the Chamber’s Facebook page; by email at email@example.com; or by stopping by the Chamber office.
