The Honeybees had some fun in the sun in Orlando over the weekend as they traveled to Disney World to take part in the huge KSA Events Fall Classic volleyball tournament.

The final day of competition was an intense one as Stephenville

The first featured a match up against Saugerties High School in New York whom the Honeybees swept handedly, 26-11, 25-9.

Nicona Stilwell once again led the Honeybees offense as she finished with 10 kills in the win. Emily Brandon also had a solid match as she added five more kills.

Taylor Garber led the team in assists with 15 and Hailey Martin recorded a team-high 10 digs.

The final game of the trip for Stephenville was a match against the only team not from the United States. They were swept in a tough one against St. Marys, which resides in Canada.

St. Mary's took the first set with a decisive 25-12 victory, but Stephenville pushed them in the second but still fell 28-26.

Overall, the Honeybees finished 4-4 in the tournament with wins over McGill-Toolen (AL), New Bedford (MA), Urseline (NY) and Saugerties (NY).

"This tournament was a great experience. We got to come here and play volleyball and also meet people from all over the world." said Stephenville Head Volleyball Coach Fran Metzger. "We had some close games and there were some great teams here. We also got some experience for our younger girls. More than anything, the girls are having a blast."

Stephenville will finally have it's home opener the next time they hit the gym on Tuesday when they host West.
