Stephanie Traweek is beginning her third year as the principal at Stephenville High School. Prior to the position, she was the assistant principal for three years. Traweek answered a Q&A with the E-T to discuss her mission, hobbies and what she’s look forward to this year.
What is your personal mission as principal?
I am ultimately responsible for the learning, safety, and emotional growth of our students and teachers. Only by working with every part of the community can I meet this responsibility. Working together we can provide the best possible education for all of our students.
What are some hobbies you enjoy?
Outside of a very busy high school schedule, I attend sporting events with my two children. On occasions, you might find me on the golf course.
What do you love about Stephenville ISD?
I truly love working with the students and teachers within the district. I am very blessed to work with such an incredible community that supports the district. I truly believe in the core values our district strives to instill in our students: Growth, Integrity, Initiative, Relationships, Excellence, and Personalization.
What are you looking forward to this school year?
I am looking forward to preparing our campus for a more technology enriched environment. This is a very exciting time for our students with the roll out of our iChampion initiative. We had a very successful year competing in academics, extra-curricular activities and athletics. We will definitely continue to strive for continued success and excellence!
