This week the E-T is featuring a two-year-old lab mix named Rory.
Rory came to the Erath County Humane Society on Feb. 29 and is known for her sweet personality.
“She was tied to our fence one day and the reason we know so much about her is because she’s microchipped,” Diane McCoy, director of the ECHS, said.
Rory is also spayed and current on all her shots.
“She’s good with other dogs and absolutely loves water,” McCoy said. “If you give her a pool or a pan of water, she’s in it. She would love to go to a lake.”
She has been an outdoor dog since she’s been at the ECHS so McCoy is unsure if she is housebroken.
“She seems to have a calm nature about her, unless you get water around her,” McCoy said with a laugh. “She loves people and likes to give hugs. She’s had everything done, so now all she needs are people. She would make someone a great dog.”
The Erath County Humane Society is currently full and needs people to adopt. Hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays, and closed on Sundays.
