HICKORY CREEK, Texas (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a 35-year-old man who drowned during a boat party on Lake Lewisville.

Denton County game warden Kyle Allison tells The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/28VWSi3 ) the man was swimming off a two-story boat when he went underwater around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The man's body was recovered near Hickory Creek around 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities haven't released the man's name.

About 30 people were on the anchored boat at the time of the drowning.

The Lewisville Fire Department and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers searched for the man until about 11 p.m. Saturday and resumed Sunday morning.

Allison says the man wasn't wearing a flotation device, but knew how to swim. Adults aren't required by law to use flotation devices in lakes.
