Newly-elected Stephenville City Councilman and local attorney Brady Pendleton has been selected to represent the city as a voting member of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

NCTCOG is a voluntary association and was established to assist local governments, large and small, in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development.

NCTCOG serves a 16-county region of North Central Texas, which is centered around the two urban centers of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Each member government is entitled to one voting representative on the General Assembly. The voting representative must be an elected official from the governing body of the member government.

This voting representative serves as a liaison between the local government and NCTCOG, receives publications and announcements from NCTCOG and is eligible to vote on proposed bylaws amendments and for candidates to serve on NCTCOG’s Executive Board.

Pendleton’s new position is effective immediately.
