3. National Drug Take-Back Day

Do you have expired prescription medication? If so, Saturday is National Drug Take-Back Day, which aims to provide a safe and convenient way for people to dispose of prescription medications. Locally, the Stephenville Police Department has its drug collection box set up inside the lobby of the PD and though this is a national day, the SPD has its collection box available 24/7. Sharps, liquids, oils and powders are not accepted.

4. Volleyball garage sale fundraiser

Show your support for the Stephenville High School Honeybees volleyball team by stopping by a garage sale at 8 a.m. Saturday at the high school. Proceeds will go toward the team’s Disney World trip and tournament Labor Day weekend. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be available for purchase and donations will be accepted.

5. Veldhuizen Cheese’s Family Farm Day

Gather the kiddos and head out to the Veldhuizen Cheese farm for its 4th annual free Family Farm Day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The kids can enjoy hayrides, a petting zoo and more while parents take a tour of the facility, see demonstrations, visit with local farm vendors and take some educational workshops.
