The Bull Riding Hall of Fame has announced its class of 2016 inductees.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the legends of the sport of bull riding. This year's induction ceremonies and reunion will also be the official grand opening of The BRHOF in the historic Cowtown Coliseum in the legendary Fort Worth Stockyards.

The Bull Riding Hall of Fame plans for the induction ceremonies to be held on Friday, May 13, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

BRHOF President Bill Putnam said, “This is a day everyone in our organization has been looking forward to for a long time. We are proud and excited to introduce and celebrate this phenomenal class of inductees in each of the four categories."

In "The Legends" category, Harry Vold and the Steiner Rodeo Co. are the two inductees.

In "The Bulls" category, the legendary buckier, Tornado, owned by the Jim Shoulders Rodeo Company, is the inductee.

"The Bull Fighters" category the great Kajun Kidd gets the nod.

"The Bull Riders" category features a phenomenal lineup of inductees that includes seven of the greatest riders ever, Myrtis Dightman, John Quintana, Gary Leffew, Jim Sharp, Terry Don West, Jack Wiseman and Tuff Hedeman.

Putnam says "So many of these champions stories were being lost. We're changing that. Our motto is "Where greatness never goes out of style" to share with others the significance of bull riding history."
