With the first round of track and field events wrapping up Monday, the Stephenville track teams will finish their regular seasons today as they conclude the district 6-4A meet here in Stephenville.
The field events for today’s meet will begin at noon. The first half of the field events concluded on Monday, but the girls triple jump, shot put and high jump will compete today, while the boys discus and triple jump will also be on display.
The running events are not expected to begin until 5 p.m. The first scheduled race is the 4x100 meter relay, which will then be followed by the 800 meter run, 100 and 110 meter hurdles, 100 meter dash, 4x200 meter relay, 400 meter run, 300 meter hurdles, 200 meter run, 1,600 meter run and lastly the mile relay.
While there is a set schedule that the meet is planning to follow, there could be delays or rescheduling.
According to the Weather Channel, there is a 30 percent chance of rain today for the Stephenville and surrounding areas which could interfere with the meet.
