STEPHENVILLE - After tossing a three-hit shutout of No. 21 West Texas A&M Saturday, Trevor Renfro was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time.

In last Saturday evening's contest, the Tarleton senior right-hander outdueled the league's ERA leader with a complete game shutout of the Buffs at Cecil Ballow Complex. He hurled his second consecutive complete game and his fourth of the season with seven innings of three-hit baseball. Renfro finished the game out in style by sitting down the side in order in the top of the seventh to complete his fifth victory this year.

The right-hander from Richardson struck out 10 batters for his third 10-K game of the season. In addition to his 10 strikeouts, Renfro also only walked two hitters to boast a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 5-to-1. The Buffs hit just .130 for the game off the Tarleton starter.

Renfro, who earned his first career honor earlier this season onFebruary 9, is now one of three pitchers in the conference to earn the league's weekly recognition on multiple occasions this year.

Tarleton will head to Portales, New Mexico this weekend for a three-game series with Eastern New Mexico.
