The E-T sat down with senior third baseman and pitcher for the Stephenville High School Yellow Jackets baseball team, Brad Morrison.
E-T: How long have you been playing baseball?
BM: I’ve been playing all my life. Ever since I’ve been able to walk I’ve been playing baseball. My dad started us as soon as he could. He’s been coaching us all the way up until now.
E-T: What is your favorite position to play?
BM: Probably third base. I like a challenge, you get hit pretty hard balls. It's just pretty fun.
E-T: What are some of the more enjoyable parts of the game for you?
BM: I really enjoy hitting and I’m usually pretty good at that. I like the competition.
E-T: Tell me about this season so far, in your opinion how has it been going?
BM: This season we had a pretty rough start. It’s a young team but we’re starting to pick it up now. We’re getting some things figured out. I think we’ll start picking it up this round in district. We’ll start picking it up.
E-T: Do you have any plans for baseball after high school?
BM: I do not. I’m just probably going to school here at Tarleton, get some kind of agricultural degree and go into the work.
E-T: Tell me about high school, what’s your favorite class you study?
BM: I like history. I’ve always been pretty good at history. I find it pretty interesting, all the things that already happened and how they’ve changed from then and now. I like the change and studying that.
E-T: Tell me about the Brad that’s not playing baseball or not in school, what do you do in your pastime?
BM: I work for my dad, we raise cattle. I also played football, that took up quite a bit of time. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family.
E-T: If you could be any animal what would it be?
BM: I would be a lion, it’s head of the food chain.
